Board-Certified Periodontist
A Nebraska native, she earned her D.D.S. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She completed her residency in periodontics at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, where she served as chief resident and earned a Master’s in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences.
Dr. Baum is a board certified periodontist and has extensive experience in dental implant placement, soft tissue grafting, surgical treatment of periodontal disease, bone grafting and augmentation, esthetic procedures, and oral pathology. She collaborates closely with general dentists and specialists to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
She is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Montana Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of Osseointegration. She has conducted research on implant complications, has been published in the Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, and she volunteers with Donated Dental Services of Montana.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Baum enjoys Montana’s outdoors — hiking, skiing Big Mountain, and fly fishing — along with time spent with her boyfriend, Dr. Evan McGowan, and their black lab, Bodhi. She also enjoys gardening, reading, and live music. Dr. Baum feels blessed to call the Flathead Valley home.
